Kanken was developed in 1978 to combat back problems among Swedish schoolchildren. Because a good habit doesn't develop quickly, we also designed a children’s version of the classic backpack. Kanken Kids' shoulder straps can be adjusted to fit the backs of children as well as a chest belt that holds the shoulder-straps in place. Children can bring their lunch with them, as well their favorite teddy bear and change of clothes. Vinylon F fabric is strong and lightweight. It can withstand rain and dirt. The main compartment has an open area with a zip. This makes it easy to pack or unpack. There are two side pockets with flat sides and one zipped pocket in the front. The back pocket houses the PE foam cushion. At the top are handles. The shoulder straps can be adjusted to a slim, comfortable length. The logo at the front is reflective. It also includes an address label inside its main compartment.
